William Jo "Bill" Beggs, 88, of Guilford, Missouri passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at his home.

Bill was born on September 21, 1934 in Guilford, Missouri to William A. and Lillian A. (Oliver) Beggs. He was a 1954 graduate of Stanberry High School and served in the United State Army Reserves for six years.

He married Elaine Armagost on March 9, 1959 in Rea, Missouri. She survives of the home. Growing up, Bill loved working on the farm. After he married Elaine they moved to Kansas City to work at Consolidated Freightways, later moving to Guilford and returned to farming.

Bill was a member of the Guilford United Methodist Church, where he served on the board, the Weathermon Cemetery Board, Washington Township Board and South Nodaway School Board President.

Additional survivors include their children, Allen (Deneice) Beggs, Guilford, Missouri, Mark Beggs and (Georgene Kelly), Guilford, Missouri, Melissa Beggs and (John Slinkard), Raymore, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Colleen (Bob) Staggs, Ames, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Imogene Jeschke.

Celebration of Life 2pm Tuesday, July 18th at the Guilford United Methodist Church. Burial Weathermon Cemetery, Guilford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Beggs has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Guilford United Methodist Church.
