Maryville, Missouri

Virgil Glenn Coy, 87, Maryville, Missouri, died April 9, 2016, at Nodaway Nursing Home.

He was born June 21, 1928, in Maryville to Virgil Claude and Beulah Faye (Musick) Coy.

He and Elda Lorene Everhart were married August 19, 1950, in Maryville.

Virgil served his country with the US Army during the Korean War.

He operated Coy Transportation Company for many years before he began driving a transport truck for Consumer's Oil Company, Maryville.

His memberships included the Nodaway Masonic Lodge #470 AF & AM and the Elks Lodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Mary Poff.

Virgil is survived by his wife Elda Coy, of the home and son Ronald Glenn Coy, both of Maryville; granddaughter Catherine Sutter and great-grandson Alexander Greubel, both of St. Louis; brother Donald D. Coy, Douglas, WY;
and two sisters Gladys Yount, Stanberry, MO and Donna Hopkins, Norman, OK

Visitation is 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, followed by Masonic Services at 8:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 13th, at Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville, with burial to follow in Miriam Cemetery with Missouri Military Honors and American Legion Post #315, Burlington Jct.

Memorials may be to the Masonic Home of Missouri.
