Veronica F. Dorrel, 84, of Maryville, Missouri passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025 among loving family and friends.

Veronica was born on September 21, 1940 in Conception, Missouri to Patrick and Irene (McLaughlin) Merrigan. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and had attended Northwest Missouri State University. She had worked as a bookkeeper for most of her life. She was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Alter Society, Beta Sigma Phi, where she was a lifetime member.

She married Lawrence J. Dorrel on April 29, 1961 in Conception, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2008. She was also preceded by her parents, her In-laws, Mary Margaret and Clyde Dorrel, son-in-law, Rickey Dovell and many other family members.

Survivors include her children, Carla Dovell, Lori (Harve) Johnson, Jr., Tony (Laurie) Dorrel and Alan (Shelly) Dorrel; eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Archer, Cecelia Meyer; sisters-in-law, Margaret Merrigan and Sandra Merrigan, brother-in-law, Bill Stark, sister-in-law, Mary Rose (Bill) Taube, brothers-in-law, Charles Ware, Terry Dorrel, Jerry (Trudy) Dorrel and Gene (Sue) Dorrel.

Mass of Christian Burial 11am Thursday, April 24th at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church under the care of Price Funeral Home. Burial St. Patrick Cemetery, Maryville. Rosary 5:30pm, Wednesday, April 23rd at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 7:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church or St. Gregory Catholic School.
