Thomas Julius Strueby
1933-2016

Thomas Gregory Strueby, 83, Conception Junction, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016.

Tom was born March 10, 1933, in Clyde, MO to Emil and Anna Schwebach Strueby. He and Kathryn Lucille Allen were marred August 31, 1957, in the Conception Basilica, Conception, MO.

Tom proudly served in the US Army from April 22, 1953 until April 8, 1955, obtaining the rank of Corporal.

A 1951 graduate of Jefferson High School, he was a farmer, and retired after 60 years as a bricklayer.

A member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community,Maryville, he also belonged to the Tri-C American Legion Post #464,Conception Junction; Bricklayers Local #5, Chapter 15, Kansas City, Missouri.

Preceding him in death were his parents, son Gregory Strueby ( October 4, 2013), brothers Sylvester and John Strueby and sister Mary Ann McGary.

Surviving Tom is his wife Kay, of their home in Conception Junction; children: David (Jennifer) Strueby, Maryville and Jeffrey (Rhonda) Strueby, Conception Jct.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother Ed (Joan) Strueby, La Marque, TX; sisters: Teresa Wiederholt, Stanberry, MO, Dorothy Kohlleppel, Parnell, MO, Rita Biastock, Joplin, MO and Cecilia Snyder, Lansing, KS; sisters-in-law: Madonna Strueby, Conception, Rita Strueby, Stanberry, Judy Lyons and Shirley Allen, both of Maryville; and nieces and nephews.

A Parish Rosary will be held at 5:00 PM, Friday, September 2, 2016, at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction. It will be followed by a visitation from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Funeral Services will be 9:00 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2016, at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, Missouri with burial in St. Columba Cemetery, Conception. Military Honors will be provided by Missouri Military Honors and Tri-C American Legion Post #464.
