Thelma Giffin
1925-2017

Thelma Lorene Giffin, 91 of Guilford, Missouri died Monday, June 12, 2017, at Maryville Living Center in Maryville, Missouri.

Thelma was born December 12, 1925 in Guilford to Leon V. and Mary (Wilson) Clayton. She was a 1944 graduate of Guilford High School.

On November 14, 1945 Thelma and Arthur Lynn Giffin were married in Troy, Kansas.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Guilford United Methodist Church, where for many years she served the church as pianist and organist.

Preceding in death were her parents, husband Arthur Giffiin, (March 8, 1998), grandson Joseph Leon Giffin and sister-in-law Phyllis Clayton.

Thelma is survived by her children Curtis (Sandra) Giffin, Guilford, Velda (Geary) Norris, Slater, Missouri, John (Pat) Giffin, Alfred Giffin, and Ray (LaDonna) Giffin; brother Eldon Clayton and nephew Kenneth (Nida) Clayton, all of Guilford; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Funeral Services will be 10 AM, Friday, June 16th at the Guilford Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Weathermon Cemetery.
