Scott Wayne Gallagher, 59, Maitland, Missouri, died Saturday, August 6, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Scott was born May 28, 1957, in St Joseph, Missouri to Eldon Wayne and Mary Lea Smith Gallagher. They preceded him in death.

Scott and Linda Marie Schafer were married August 2, 1980, at St. Gregory's Church in Maryville, MO.

A 1975 graduate of Nodaway Holt High School, he was a life-long farmer. He was a member of the Maitland Volunteer Fire Department, where he also served as a board member.

Scott is survived by his wife Linda, of the home; son Chris Gallagher, Maitland, MO; daughter Jenny (Mike) Bucy, Barnard, MO; grandson Evan Bucy; brothers: Bill (Vera) Gallagher, Skidmore, MO and Jim (Michelle) Gallagher, Maitland and numerous relatives.

Visitation is 6-8 PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Funeral Services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, August 10th, at the Christian Church, Maitland, with burial to follow in the Maitland Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Maitland Fire Department or Tri-City Nutrition Center, both in Maitland, MO 64466.
