Robert Wayne Dakan, 68, Barnard, MO died Saturday, August 5, 2017, at his home in Barnard.

Bob was born May 4, 1949 in Maryville, MO, the son Wayne and Nola Hainey Dakan. They preceded him in death.

He was a 1967 graduate of Nodaway Holt R-VII in Graham and a member of Graham United Methodist Church.

Bob retired from the Energizer Battery Plant in Maryville prior to being employed at Northwest Missouri State University.

Surviving Bob is his wife Linda Dakan of their home in Barnard; four daughters: Wendy (Chris) Sowards, Barnard, Jody (John) Throener, Skidmore, MO, Nikki (Jack) Bucy, Maryville, and Diana Dakan, Gretna, NE; five grandchildren: Jaylan, Kayla, Calen, Alex and Dakan; brother, Dennis (Karen) Dakan, Maryville, sisters, Ronda Dakan, Independence, MO and Beth (Robert) Evans, Union Star, MO; special pet, Daisy and many friends and relatives.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8th from 5-7 PM at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Funeral Service is 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 9th, also at Price Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham.

Memorial contributions may be made to Graham United Methodist Church or the New Nodaway Humane Society.
