Obituary

Robert "Bud" Bliley, 93, of Conception Junction, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his home.

Bud was born on October 13, 1930 in Clyde, Missouri to the late Joseph A. and Theresa F. (Wiederholt) Bliley. He was a 1948 graduate of St. Benedict High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He had worked for Schieber Construction, served as the Fire Chief and Mayor of Conception Junction where he was involved with many improvements to the city. He was a rural mail carrier and had owned and operated Buds Tavern and the Junction Café in Conception Junction. He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Lifetime member American Legion Post 464, and the Tri-C Fire Department.

He married Charlotte A. Woods on June 10, 1954. She preceded him in death on April 26, 1998. He later married Beverly Ann Duttlinger on August 23, 2002. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include their children; Cynthia Bliley, Joe (Martha) Bliley, Charles (Tammy) Bliley, Carol (Mark) Wood, Steve (Barb) Bliley, Teresa Wiederholt (Jack Partridge), Ann Stiens (Gary Montross), Mary Welch (Tim Wilmes), Gaylord (Robin) Augustine; sister, Patricia "Pat" Driskell; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by grandson; Jeremy Salinas, son-in-law, Steven Wiederholt; five sisters; Bernadine Auffert, Lorene Lager, Pauline Holtman, Rosetta Redden, Mary From and brother; Ralph Bliley.

Family Rosary 6pm Tuesday, September 10th at St. Columba Catholic Church

Parish Rosary 6pm Wednesday, September 11th at St. Columba Catholic Church with visitation to follow. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 8pm.

Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday, September 12th at St. Columba Catholic Church under the direction of Price Funeral Home. Burial St. Columba Cemetery, Conception, Missouri. The family suggests memorials to the American Legion Post #464 or Tri-C Fire Department.
