Rex Van Cristler, 85, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Village Care of Maryville.

Rex was born on September 21, 1935 in Gardner, Kansas to Dewey and Grace (Iles) Cristler. He attended school in California. Rex had that pioneer spirit and was a natural born teacher when it came to outdoorsmanship. He had many stories spoken with his festus-like mannerisms. He worked in the autobody repair business and enjoyed his model cars and airplanes. He loved to go fishing, drawing, coloring and puzzles as well as tinkering with things and his dog "Bullet".

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marian Walski and Marjorie Ellis.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Alice (Bob) Dukelow, David (Roberta) Walski, Tom Walski, Geoffrey (Sandy) Walski and Carol (Ron) Lane; Marjorie Ellis children, Denise, Molly, John, Daniel, Chuck, Dennis and Kenny.

Mr. Cristler has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home.
Memorial Service 10:30am Wednesday, August 11th at Price Funeral Home. Burial Nodaway Memorial Gardens.
