Peggy Ann Reed, 87, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Village Care Center.

Peggy was born on May 5, 1936 in Skidmore, Missouri to James M. and Ruth E. (Sloan) Lawson. She attended school in Skidmore and graduated from Maryville High School in 1954. She was a homemaker and caregiver with the Association of Group Homes for eleven years. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church.

Peggy married Elbert Lee Reed on May 9, 1953 in Skidmore, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2013. She was also preceded by her parents and daughter, Margaret Blessington.

Survivors include two children, Steve (Alicia) Reed and Deanna (Paul) Overton; brother, Jim Lawson; son-in-law, James Blessington; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services 10am Monday, November 13th at Laura Street Baptist Church under the care of Price Funeral Home. Burial Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, November 12th at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Laura Street Baptist Church.
