Ola Margaret "Arkie" Jeffries, 86, St. Joseph, MO, died Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Mosaic Life Care.

Arkie was born March 23, 1930, in Arkoe, Missouri to Samuel Clifton and Viola Ices (Sheets) Mires.

She married James Franklin Jeffries November 4, 1970, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She retired from Heartland Health System Laundry Department after 30 years. She was a member of the Word of Life Church, St. Joseph.

Arkie was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Floyd, Lloyd, Presley, Bobby and Fred Mires; three sisters: Mary Martin, Dollie Radke and Betty Jean Mires.

She is survived by her husband: James Jeffries of the home; one son: Herb Holloway, Savannah, Missouri; brother: Vernie Mires, Monrovia, California and sister: Charlene Dye, Waterloo, Nebraska.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri with burial to follow at Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville, Missouri.
