Mona VonCile (Brodrick) Ward, 91, passed on to her reward on January 22, 2024 at Cox Hospital in Springfield, MO.

She was born June 7, 1932 to Curtis Fredrick and Ruth Hammond Brodrick in rural Gentry County near Stanberry, Missouri.

She married Jack Lee Ward on December 29, 1951 in Huntsville, Arkansas.  He preceded her in death.  She was also preceded by her parents, her brothers Donald LaVelle Brodrick and Clarence Fredrick Brodrick, a sister Mary Etta Brodrick, and a nephew Randy Brodrick.  She leaves behind a son Jeffrey Ward, his wife Elizabeth, grandchildren Robert, Adam and wife AnDrea, Joshua, Krystle and husband Brian, and 9 greatgrandchildren, sisters inlaw Jean Wyatt and Ramona Brodrick, several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Nodaway County Missouri was where she spent most of her youth.  After getting married, she lived in Maryville, Missouri, Paullina, Iowa, Reeds Spring, Missouri, and finally Springfield, Missouri.  She worked for Merrigan Brother's Livestock for many years, Mid America Lamb Processors, besides many years on the family farm and being a crafter for nearly 20 years before her health deteriorated.

Mrs. Ward has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home.  She has requested no services in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the The Rheumatology Research Foundation.
