Maxine Staples, 93, of Burlington Junction, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Parkdale Manor.

Maxine was born on August 11, 1930 in Atchison County to Theodore and Mildred (McDaniel) Looney. She graduated from Burlington Junction High School and was a homemaker and a farmer. Maxine was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Burlington Junction, Missouri.

She married Donald H. Staples on February 11, 1951. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2016.

Survivors include her children, Wayne (Maryalice) Staples, Linda (Larry) Guthrie; four grandchildren, Matthew (Jaime) Guthrie, Sarah (Joey) Rick, Katey (Joel) Merritt, John Staples and nine great-grandchildren.

Services 11am Monday, January 29th at Price Funeral Home. Burial Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Burlington Junction.
