Maxine Moran
1920-2016

Maxine Elizabeth Moran, 96, Maryville, Missouri died Friday, December 30, 2016, at Nodaway Nursing Home.

She was born April 6, 1920 in Maryville, the daughter of Frank Herman and Emma Jane Breedlove Wilmes. She and Bernard Joseph Moran were married September 22, 1954 in Maryville.

A 1938 graduate of Maryville High School, she attended Hagee Beauty School and received her degree and then worked for Della's Style Shop in Maryville.

Maxine was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church in Maryville and also Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, St. Theresa Circle and St. Gregory Guild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Joseph Moran (March 30, 2002); parents; sister Emma Dee Carroll; 3 brothers, William J, Frank and Robert Joseph Wilmes; 3 nephews John Douglas Summa, Victor Wilmes and Rick Wilmes and niece Stacey Clay.

Surviving her are sister; Virginia Summa, Maryville, and nieces and nephews: Becky Sullivan, Jim Wilson, Valerie Riddle, David Carroll, Joni Nelson, Janie England, Barbara Nielson, Gina Mackey, Joe Carroll and Kevin Summa.

A Parish Rosary will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, January 1st at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. It will be followed by a visitation from 5:30-7:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Maryville.
