She married Roy Whaley on March 25, 1939, in Ravenwood, Missouri.

Mabel was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Wray Memorial United Methodist Church, Hopkins.

Preceding in death were her parents, husband Roy Whaley (March 29, 2004), daughter Susan Jane Whaley (1955), sisters Velda Adwell and Lois Whaley, and 2 great grandsons Zachary James Smith and Hunter Stephen Spire.

Visitation is 10-11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, Mo with the funeral following at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins.

Memorials may be made to Wray Memorial United Metodist Church, Hopkins, in Mabel's name.
