Madge Horn
1920-2017

Lora Madge Horn, 96, Maryville, MO, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017, at SSM St. Francis Hospital.

Madge was born August 21, 1920, near Gaynor, MO, to John Austin and Elsie Groves Sharr.

On March 20, 1940, Lora Madge Sharr and John S. Horn, Jr. were married in Maryville. She was a farm wife and a homemaker.

Madge was many things to many people. Her family will remember her as a mother, grandmother, farmer, quilter, collector, traveler and card player.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Horn (October 6, 2000); sons infant Kenneth Wayne Horn and James Lowell Horn (September 27, 2013); brothers Ova Manford Sharr and Wiley Wilmer Sharr.

Surviving Madge are her two daughters: Delsa Rose (Eldon) Hildebrandt, Falls Church, VA and Roberta Jean (James) Carmichael, Hopkins, MO; grandson Ken Horn, two granddaughters Rhonda Lynn (Andy) McGinnis, Independence, MO and Lora Rose (Phil) Larabee, Pickering, MO and several great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Horn has been cremated. Celebration of Life will be held at the Senior Center in Maryville, Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 11:00am-1:00pm
