Lewis Blackney, 76, of Clearmont, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at his home.

Lewis was born on May 6, 1948 in Maryville, Missouri to Lewis and Caroline (McDowell) Blackney. He was a 1966 graduate of Hopkins High School and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Blue Lodge in Hopkins and Moila Shrine Temple in St. Joseph.

Lewis married Jo Burton on May 16, 1985 in Hopkins, Missouri. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his children, Mike (Dawn) Blackney, Shannon (James) Beemer, Joe Hamilton and Kari Corbin; eight grandchildren, Myles, Alex, Fallyn, Jett, Rose, Brayden, Hadley and Paizley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Elsie Rose Burton.

Mr. Blackney has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 25th at 7pm at Price Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorials to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
