Julie Lynn
Moore
Dec 25, 1970 — Jul 17, 2026
Burlington Junction
Julie Lynn Moore, 55, of Burlington Junction, Missouri passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at her home unexpectedly.
Julie was born on December 25, 1970, in Maryville, Missouri to the late Vincent and Genevieve (Wilmes) Jermain. She was a 1989 graduate of West Nodaway High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in merchandising from Northwest Missouri State University.
On October 3rd, 1992, she married her best friend, high school sweetheart and true love, Shane Moore. In April of 2026, the two celebrated 40 years since their first date. The two were inseparable, causing mischief wherever they went. She was a devoted wife, having a compassionate heart, sarcastic humor, and provided a sturdy foundation for their family. Julie was without fail, always right. Never one to turn down fishing adventures, hunting excursions, cow checking, joy riding, or anything that included being on the farm with the one she loved. Her love for her husband was one like no other, having an unbreakable bond with him.
Julie was a mother, teaching her daughter everything she knew… how to be independent, strong, and courageous. She taught her daughter about faith, family, and farming, making it a priority to explain that nothing in life is easy, nor is it free - and definitely don't expect it to be handed to you. Julie was an exceptional mother who told it how it was, and always supported her daughter through her struggles and wins. She was an encourager, never missing sporting events, graduations, or successes - big or small. Julie taught her daughter nearly everything, except how to live without her.
Julie was known for being a farmer. That Jermain blood ran deep, with the grit and determination to get things done the right way (and her way). There wasn't a job too big for her. Whether it was baling hay, planting rowcrop, tending to a new calf, building a straight fence, or cutting brush, her knowledge was immense. Her entire life was built around the farm, to which she shared the passion with her husband and daughter. Hours were spent working together, problem solving, fixing broken equipment, or pulling calves - all with Julie's expertise and experience. From tractors to trucks, from cattle to creeks, Julie knew her farm like the back of her hand.
To know Julie was to know a fiercely independent yet stubborn headed woman. While she was particular, she knew how to get things done, and get them done right. She knew how to have fun, work harder than a man, and to focus on the positives. Although typically she kept to herself, Julie was selfless, always putting others' needs before her own. Friends and family will continue to help Julie's spirit shine on by sharing the glorious memories we have of her throughout the years.
Julie valued each moment making memories. Her family is forever proud of her strength and resilience throughout life. Julie was the backbone of her family, offering tough truths, anchoring hugs, and resourceful solutions. Although life wasn't always easy, Julie persevered. She taught us how to enjoy the smallest of things, laugh during the hard times, and cry when needed - but she also taught us how to be strong. There are no words to truly describe the impact she made, as she was incredible.
Julie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her knowledge, grit, resilience, determination, and courage will continue to shine on. May Julie's legacy continue to linger on through her friends, family and farm.
Julie is survived by her husband Shane; daughter Lexi (Hunter) Simmons; sister, Sheila (Jim) Calfee and brother, Kenny Jermain and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
