John Marriott
1938-2017

John Drexel Marriott, 79 of Clearmont, M0 died Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at SSM Health St. Francis in Maryville, MO.

He was born June 18, 1938 in Burlington Jct, M0, the son John and Bessie Farquhar Marriott. John and Helen Joyce Melvin were married June 2, 1957 in Clearmont.

John was graduate of Hopkins, MO High School and was a farmer. He also worked for St. Joseph Light and Power and as a boiler operator at the water treatment plant facilities in Maryville and Grant City.

A member of the Clearmont Baptist Church, he also was Past President of United Bow Hunters of Missouri and was known as a Professional Bow Maker.

John was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Wayne Marriott (April 17, 2016); brother, Vernal Marriott and sister, Iris Marriott.

Surviving John is his wife Helen, of the home in Clearmont, sons, John (Waneva) Marriott Jr., Clearmont, Russell (Loyalea) Marriott, Glenwood, IA and Danny Marriott of Clearmont, ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Sunday, August 6th, 2017 at Price Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, August 7th at Price Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hopkins Cemetery.
