Joan Elaine Maurer, 71, of Skidmore, Missouri passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville.

Joan was born on March 9, 1952 in Maryville, Missouri to Don and Jean (Dolf) Henry. She was a graduate of West Nodaway High School and worked for Kawasaki in food service.

She is survived by her husband Norman and five children, Donna (Bobby) Smith, David Sturm, Bryan (Melissa) Maurer, Tammy (Cliff) Smail and Ryan (Linda) Maurer; sister, Kathryn (Jim) Johansen, brother, Dan (Dee) Henry and Steve (Rhonda) Henry; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Terry Henry and Jimmy Henry.

Mrs. Maurer has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. Per her wishes there will be no visitation or services held. Burial will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery in Skidmore, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Hillcrest Cemetery Association.
