Jeffery Lynn Christensen, 63, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville.
Jeffery was born on August 11, 1955 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Edward Carl and Virginia Lenore (Woolman) Christensen, Sr.
He was a graduate of Maryville High School. Jeffery was a maintenance technician for SSM Health St. Francis Hospital. Prior to that he had worked 25 years for LMP Steel & Wire, Pella Windows, and Northeast Nodaway School District.
Jeffery was of the Christian faith, he worked with the youth at the Nazarene church, He was active with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and was a Scout Master. He was a volunteer with the American Red Cross training CPR and First Aid.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Lynn Christensen, Jr., parents, Edward Carl and Virginia Lenore (Woolman) Christensen, Sr., sister, Sandra Sue Campbell, nephew, David Campbell.
He married Linda Marie Porter on May 19, 1979 in Maryville, Missouri, she survives of the home, Linda and Jeffery just recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Additional survivors include five children, Errin Marie (Scott) Wilmes, Liberty, Missouri, Donald Allen Christensen, Maryville, Missouri, Daniel Joseph Christensen, Independence, Missouri, Carter Allen Christensen, Maryville, Missouri, and Zoey Elizabeth Christensen, Maryville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Alexandria (Alexander) Lapp, Bridget Wilmes and Taylor Christensen; seven brothers and sisters, Edward Carl Christensen, Jr., Happy Valley, Alaska, David Asher (Karen) Christensen, Savannah, Missouri, Joseph Elton (Nellie) Christensen, Maryville, Missouri, Carl Johan (Donna) Christensen, Burlington Junction, Missouri, Alma Linda (David) Iwen, Omaha, Nebraska, Mary Virginia Christensen, Maryville, Missouri and Ann Kristine (David) Dredge, Maryville, Missouri.
Memorial Services 2pm Friday, June 28th at the First Baptist Church of Maryville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday at the First Baptist Church. Mr. Christensen has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home, Maryville. The family suggests memorials to the Oncology Department of Mosaic Medical Center, Maryville or the First Baptist Church of Maryville.
