James "Jim" Price, 62, of Ravenwood, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Jim was born on May 4, 1963, in Maryville, Missouri to John L. and Phyllis F. Lewis and was a graduate of Northeast Nodaway High School.
Jim was a farmer by heart and had also worked for Daltons Hog Farm, Busby's, COOP, Laclede Chain and Kawasaki. He raised Black Angus Cattle and pigs on the homestead. He was a member of the Sheridan Christian Church, Scout Master Troop 131, Tribe of Mic-O-Say "Runner" Dark Mustang and the American Angus Association.
He loved his family and being a Papa most. He enjoyed the outdoors, his cows, leading scouts, and deer hunting with his family. He married Tracie M. Ogle on November 15, 1997, in Burlington Junction, Missouri. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include their children, Stephanie M. Price, Maverick J. Price, Samantha J. (Donte) Peterson, and Shanon R. (Josh) Cook; grandchildren, Michaelynn Price, River Peterson, Morgan Cook, Madison Cook and Mason Cook; great-grandchild, Valee Heinz; brother, Johnny Price, sister, Elaine Coffelt, brother, Jeff (Misty) Price, sister, Donna (Kevin) Walter and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Ashley Price, son, Michael Ogle, brother, Joe Price; sister-in-law, Rita Price, brothers-in-law, Tim Coffelt and Christopher Ogle and his grandparents, Perry and Rosella Lewis and John and Florine Price.
Celebration of Life 10am Saturday, March 14th at the Sheridan Christian Church. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Sheridan Christian Church.
In memory of Jim, his family suggests memorials to the Sheridan Christian Church or Oak Lawn Cemetery Association.
