James "Jim" Holtman, 81, of Conception Junction, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on June 4, 1945, in Bellville, Illinois to Lawrence and Pauline (Bliley) Holtman. He was a 1963 graduate of Jefferson High School. He worked construction for Paul Schieber. Jim enlisted in the United States Air Force in December of 1963 and stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam war. He later took over the family business, Holtman Oil and Gas in 1973 to 2001. Then he drove for Heartland Bus Lines. He also worked for Gages Fertilizer and Grain, driving a truck and later drove a school bus for Jefferson C-123 for 28 years.

He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, American Legion Post 464, Tri-C volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. Jim found joy in tractor pulling, tractor cruising and watching his grandkids playing sports.

On June 27, 1970, Jim married Carolyn Ann Luke at St. Columba Catholic Church in Conception Junction, Missouri. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, and his brothers, Robert, Ronnie, John and Fred, two brothers-in-law, Larry Shackelford and Dennis Schieber, sister-in-law, Clarice (Holtman) Schuetz.

Survivors include his children, Tammy (Charlie) Bliley, Conception Junction, Missouri, Tim (Kellie) Holtman, Conception Junction, Missouri, Tom (Vicki) Holtman, Hopkins, Missouri; Siblings, Shirley Shackelford,  Edward (Judy) Holtman, Richard (Carolyn) Holtman, Carolyn (Pat) Sturm, Diane Schieber, Ted (Brenda) Holtman, Rose (DJ) Jensen; In-laws, Martha (Ernie) Chapman, Diane (Ken) Parks, Janice Luke, Vincent (Becky) Luke, John Luke and James Luke; sister-in-law, Nancy Holtman; grandchildren,  Tiffany Bliley, Jackie (Steven) Spire, Kristina (Carl) Parman, Dakota Bliley, Vanessa Holtman (fiancé, Garrett Stegman), Colby Holtman (fiancé, Tanley Bebout), Triston Holtman (fiancé, Brianna Colvin), Trey Holtman (girlfriend, Emma Rugg), Jayce Holtman, Faith Adwell, Shalena Holtman (fiancé, Lucas Dittmer, Harley Adwell; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Mazie Spire, Kix Parman, Timberlee Hunzeker, Ruby and Rowan Stegman, Sawyer Holtman, Laramie Dittmer and many nieces and nephews.

Rosary 5:30pm Wednesday, July 29th at St. Columba Catholic Church. The family will gather with friends following the rosary until 8pm.

Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday, July 30th at St. Columba Catholic Church under the care of Price Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery in Conception, Missouri. Memorials can be made in care of Jim's family.
