Jack Colwell, 87, of Stanberry, Missouri passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Countryside Village in King City, Missouri.

Jack was born on January 4, 1938 in Maryville, Missouri to Harry T. and Eva M. (Winslow) Colwell Powers. He was a 1956 graduate of Horace Mann High School and worked as a welder for Rocky Flats in Colorado. He served in the United State Army and was a member of Patee Park Baptist Church in St. Joseph where he volunteered at their food pantry. He enjoyed hunting and traveling with his wife Tanis.

He married Tanis M. Hunt on March 17, 1956 in Maryville, Missouri. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors include their daughter, Tracy Farley; grandson, Christopher Farley; two great-grandsons, Brant and Bryden Farley; brother, John (Judy) Colwell; sister, Mary Margaret (Fred) Stokes; Loving brother and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Sam, Dale, Loran Colwell.

Services 12 noon Monday, January 13th at Price Funeral Home. Burial Miriam Cemetery, Maryville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
