Howard Shimak
1948-2016


Howard Eugene Shimak, 68, Graham, Missouri died Friday, December 16, 2016, at K U Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Born March 4, 1948 in Maryville, Missouri, he was the son of Stanley Howard and Clella Irene Latta Shimak, who preceded him in death.

Howard was a graduate of Platte, South Dakota High School and was a Vietnam veteran, having served his country in the US Air Force from 1966-1970. He and Joyce (Jan) Janelle Wallace were married January 14, 1972, in Maryville.

He worked as an electrician for Laclede Chain Manufacturing Company in Maryville.

Howard is survived by his wife, Jan Shimak, of the home in Graham; two sons, Loren Dean (Rochelle) Shimak, Burlington Junction, Missouri and Keith Allen Shimak, Maryville; two grandchildren, Justin Keith Shimak, Maryville and Auburn Leigh Shimak, Burlington Jct.; brother Richard Dale (Linda) Latta, Maitland, Missouri, sister, Linda Lou Law, Graham, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Monday, December 19, 2016, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Funeral Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, December 20th, also at Price Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham.
