Herbert James Emery, 87 of Maryville, Missouri died Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at SSM Health St. Francis in Maryville.

Born December 24, 1928 in Maryville, he was the son of Charles Jeffries Emery and Mandy (Seals) Emery. He and Alice Marie Fannon were married December 12, 1967.

Herb was the retired owner and operator of the Herb Emery Sanitation.

He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers: Charles, William, Gene, Doc, Earl, Robert and Jack Emery and three sisters: Helen Downing, Mabel Cleghorn and Neva Mae Cleghorn.

Herb is survived by his seven daughters: Sheryl Meyer, Portland, OR, Kathi Boedeker and Janelle Emery, Maryville, Robin Farnan, Hopkins, MO, Cindy Laughlin, Portland, OR, Jaunita Gilbert, State of Idaho and Roma Dawson, Bellevue, NE; three sons: Herbert "Tug" Emery Jr., Maryville, Bill Emery, Pickering, MO, and Jerry Emery, Hopkins; twenty-nine grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, December 2, 2016, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 3rd also at Price Funeral Home, followed by burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Barnard, MO.
