Hazel June Estes, 92, Maryville, MO died Saturday, February 11, 2017, at SSM Health St. Francis Hospital.

She was born June 30, 1924 in Braddyville, IA, the daughter of James Virgil and Stella Vesta Wilson VanFosson.

Hazel was a graduate of Elmo, MO High School and was baptised at the Elmo Christian Church. She was a retired telephone operator with United Telephone Company.

Preceding Hazel in death were her parents and brothers: Glen, Raymond, Arthur and Marvin VanFosson.

She is survived by her daughter Donna (Harold) Wilmes, Maryville, grandson Jason (Sarah) Wilmes, Pickering, MO; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Faith, Kayla and Chance Wilmes, brothers: Lewis (Carol) VanFosson, Mitchellville, IA and Lowell (Dorothy) VanFosson Maryville; sisters-in-law: Ruth VanFosson, Maryville, Billie Vanfosson, Shenandoah, IA and Loretta Estes, Kidder, MO and nieces and nephews.

There is no formal visitation, however, friends may call at the funeral home anytime after noon on Monday.

Graveside Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the LaMar Cemetery, Elmo, MO.
