Gerald O. "Boots" Friend, 86, of Maryville, Missouri formerly of Sheridan, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Village Care Center in Maryville.

Boots was born on August 23, 1938 in Centralia, Oklahoma to William and Mable (Cassingham) Friend. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1958 with the 187th Tank Division. He was a truck driver for over 25 years enjoyed farming and fishing.

He was preceded by his parents and two son's, Jerry Friend and Clifford Friend and four brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Beth Miller and Wanda Friend; four grandchildren, Robert (Krystle) Miller, Jeff Miller, Lawrence (Shana) Miller and George Friend and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Friend has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
