Following Bill's death, Georgia relocated to Puyallup, WA, then to Manteca, CA. She resided in California for twenty-five years, employed at the Basolo Beefalo Ranch owned by DC "Bud" and Georgia Basolo. Georgia met Vernon Sharp, of Tracy, CA, late in life and the two became companions, until Vern's passing. Georgia returned to Northwest Missouri, where she has remained close to family and lifelong friends. She has been a longtime member of the Rosanna Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and is a former member of the Soroptomist Club. Among Georgia's passions in life was a love of painting, embroidery, and reading.

Georgia is survived by a sister, Dorothy Chappell of California, as well as many nieces and nephews, and special friends dear to her. In keeping with Georgia's final wishes, she is to be cremated and her ashes interred next to her husband.
