Father Timothy Schoen, OSB, 75, Conception, Missouri, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Mosaic Life Care, Saint Joseph, MO.

Father Timothy was born July 4, 1940, in Kansas City, MO , to Frank J. and Helen (Immenschuh) Shoen and was a graduate of Conception Seminary College, Conception, and North American College, Rome, Italy.

Father Timothy was ordained a priest on December 16, 1964, and served as a priest in the Diocese of Kansas City/St. Joseph, including as pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Hamilton, and Mary Immaculate Parish, Gallatin, before entering Conception Abbey. He was professed as a monk September 7, 1985. His monastic assignments included musician, professor and spiritual director at Conception Abbey.

Preceding in death were his parents.

Survivors include his monastic community, sister Mary Ann (Paul) Seibold, Gladstone, MO, a niece, Karen (Brad) Evans of Lee's Summit and a nephew, Paul J. Seibold of Gladstone, MO.

Visitation is from 6:00 PM Friday March 4, 2016 with the Vespers of the Dead at 7:15 PM at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Conception, MO

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, with burial in St Columba Cemetery, Conception, MO
