Fr. Aidan McSorley O.S.B., 75 of Conception, Missouri died on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, Missouri.

He was born July 9, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas to Frank William and Helen (Bergman) McSorley. They preceded him in death.

Fr. Aidan was a graduate of Conception Seminary College and was professed as a monk September 1, 1962. On November 28, 1969, Fr. Aidan was ordained as a priest. He was a rare book librarian.

He is survived by his monastic community and one sister, Helen O'Connor of Riverview, FL.

Visitation from 5:30 PM Thursday, February 23, 2017, with Vespers of the Dead at 7:15 PM, at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Conception, MO.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:30 AM, Friday , February 24, 2017, at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, with the Abbot Benedict Neenan, O.S.B. officiating.
