Floyd K. Miller
1920 - 2019

Maryville, Missouri - Floyd K. Miller passed on September 25, 2019 at Living Community of St. Joseph. He was born February 2, 1920 on a farm near Norborne to Frank Park and Vivian Mossbarger Miller. Floyd was a graduate of Trenton High School 1937 and University of Missouri 1941. After college he worked for the USDA in Palmyra where he met Doris V. Hagans. They were married June 11, 1943 while he was serving with the US Army Air Corps.
After service during WWII, Mr. Miller worked for USDA in Albany before managing farms in Liberty and Bixby, Ok. Floyd purchased farms in the Graham/Barnard area in 1957. He was active in that community with Graham Lions, Masonic Lodge, Bethany Christian Church as well as several years of service on the Nodaway County Soil Conservation Board. He has resided at Living Community since 2010.
Mr. Miller and his wife traveled actively in retirement including Mexico, Canada and Alaska, and a return to Italy where he had been stationed during WWII.
He was preceded in death by wife, Doris. Surviving are a brother, Frank C. Miller, Germantown, Tn; daughter Mary V. (Don) Fisher, Hot Springs Village, Ar; son James I. (Cathy) Miller, Carlsbad, CA; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A celebration service of Mr. Miller's life will be held at Bethany Rural Christian Church, 390 Street, Barnard, Mo. On Monday, September 30th at 11am under the care of Price Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
