Elizabeth A. Newton, 89, of Maryville, Missouri formerly of Skidmore passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Nodaway Nursing Home.

Elizabeth was born on June 23, 1928 in Rosendale, Missouri to John W. and Alice E. (Gilmore) Blair.

She was a graduate of the Fillmore High School. She was a homemaker and member of the Skidmore United Methodist Church.

She married R.G. "Zeke" Newton on February 23, 1947 in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2006. She was also preceded by her parents, infant twin brother and sister and three sisters, Barbara Hayworth, Margaret Smith and Wanda Davison and brother, John W. Blair, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Patti (Raymond) Riley, Graham, Missouri; four brothers, Blaine Blair, Ft. Worth, Texas, Robert Blair and Donnie Blair both of Savannah, Missouri, Dean Blair, Clarksdale, Missouri; two sisters, Karen Shirley, St. Joseph, Missouri and Sharron Ott, Riverside, California; four grandchildren, Kristin Patterson, Shannon (Joshua) Milbourn, Justin (Hannah) Patterson and Lukas Riley; seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00pm Tuesday, December 19th at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.

Graveside Services and Interment 2:00pm Wednesday, December 20th at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Skidmore, Missouri. The family suggests memorials to the Skidmore united Methodist Church.
