Elizabeth "Sue" BreDahl, 82, of Skidmore, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville, Missouri.

Sue was born on January 21, 1937 in Graham, Missouri to James C. and Mertie L. (Coulter) Henry. She attended a one room school house near Graham and was a 1955 graduate of Graham High School, attended Tarkio College and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in home economics and a masters degree in textiles and clothing from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, where she researched response of knit fabrics to various laundry methods. She taught vocational home economics in high schools in Nashua and Mt. Ayr, Iowa and Rock Falls, Illinois.

While pursuing her masters degree at Iowa State she met Russell BreDahl. They were married on August 30, 1970 at Campus Baptist Church in Ames, Iowa. They established their first home at Fort Dodge, Iowa where Russell was employed by Iowa State University serving as a livestock production specialist. In 1971 Sue traveled with Russ to Lexington, Kentucky where Russ was employed by the University of Kentucky and served as beef cattle production specialist.

In 1980 Sue moved with Russ to Missouri to operate a farm near Skidmore. Sue was a women farmer when farming wasn't cool. She was the principal operator of the farm for 19 years after Russ took a job with ISU extension and continuing until his retirement in 2005.

Sue is survived by her husband Russell of the home; two children, Laura Lee (Brian) Martens, Wausau, Wisconsin and Lane Christian BreDahl, Bloomington Minnesota; brothers-in-law, Clark (Linda) BreDahl Greenfield, Iowa and Howard Hall, Quarryville, Pennsylvania and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Romaine Henry and sister Betty Henry.

Services 11am Monday, August 12th at the First United Methodist Church in Maryville under the care of Price Funeral Home. Burial Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Sunday, August 11th at Price Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
