Edward Patrick Barry, 87, Maryville, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Parkdale Manor,

Ed was born January 26, 1930, in Leon, Iowa to James and Harriett (Sullivan) Barry. He was a graduate of Conception High School, Conception, MO.

On October 10, 1950, Ed and Cecelia Frances Monnett were married at St. Benedict Church, Clyde, MO.

A farmer, he also had worked in the Maintenance Department of the Eveready Plant in Maryville and as the Sextant at St. Columba Cemetery for many years.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cecelia Barry, son Daniel Barry, and infant brother Anthony Barry.

Surviving are his children: James (Denise), Virginia Beach, VA, Stephen, Maryville, Gerald, Faucett, MO, Raymond (Mary), Bolckow, MO, Dennis, Ridgeway, MO, Elaine (Ron) Wilson, Maryville, Alicia (Dennis) DiPietro, Appleton, WI, and Vincent (Pam), Ash Gove, MO; sisters, Catharine Ginther and Mary (Jr) Pappert, St. Joseph, MO; brother, Joe (Eileen) Barry, Liberty, MO; cousin, Virgene Brown, Leon, IA; sister-in-law, Bernice Meyer, Imogene, IA; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, March 5, 2017, followed by a visitation from 5:30-7:30 PM at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Jct., MO.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Monday, March 6th, also at St. Columba Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Conception.
