1952-2017
Don Marvin Callow, 64, Maryville, MO, died peacefully at his home Saturday, February 25, 2017, surrounded by his family.
Don was born September 11, 1952, in Maryville to James and Elsie (Scoville) Callow. He was a 1970 graduate of Nodaway-Holt High School and also attended Northwest Missouri State University.
On July 21, 1973, Don and Connie Lee Brookshier were united in marriage at the Bethany Christian Church, Barnard, MO.
Don was a farmer and a steward of the land. He enjoyed the outdoors, nature and all that came with it. As a farmer, he was involved in row crop production and livestock. One of his greatest passions became sweet corn. . . his was the best.
Don was a member of the Bethany Christian Church, Graham Lion's Club, Pony Express Farmer's Market, and the Pumpkin Center Coffee Club.
Preceding Don in death were his parents, brother Mike Callow and grandson Brayden Callow.
Surviving Don is his wife Connie Callow, of their home in Maryville; sons Clint (Lora) Callow, Savannah, MO, Casey (Chandra) Callow, Platte City, MO, and daughter Jessica (Wes) Uhlmeyer, Monticello, IL; grandchildren: Kelsie, Josie, Evan, Lane, Ellie, Ethan, Emily and Eliza; brothers Jerry (Kay) Callow, St. Joseph, MO, Alan (Lori) Callow, Smithville, MO, and George (Evelyn) Callow, Graham, MO; sister-in-law Dawn Callow, Boardman, OR, and extended family.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 1st at the Bethany Christian Church, Barnard, Inurnment will follow services at Prairie Home Cemetery, Graham, MO.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Children's Mercy Department of Philanthropy, Attn: Cancer Center, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO 64155, or to the childhood cancer organization of your choice.
