Denis L. Bredlow, 71, of Ravenwood, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Maryville Living Center.

Denis was born on September 8, 1952 in Forest City, Iowa to Leroy and Mildred (Goll) Bredlow. He was a graduate of Garner-Hayfield High School in Garner, Iowa in 1970. He received his Bachelor's degree from Central College in Pella, Iowa in 1974 and his Master's degree from Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana in 1977.

Denis enjoyed teaching Junior High and High School Science and coaching.  He coached Science Olympiad, Softball, Basketball, and Football. While he taught in various schools in Missouri and Iowa, his "kids" at Union Star held a special place in his heart.

Denis enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, and watching sports.

Denis married Barbara A. Phillips on September 4, 1987 in Stanberry, Missouri. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his children, Caleb (Amanda) Bredlow, Arianne (Kolby) Davidson and Rory Bredlow; two granddaughters, Ruby Bredlow and Anna Davidson; mother-in-law, Judith Phillips (Paul Oliver), sister-in-law, Christine (Barry) Phillips-Poe, brother-in-law, Jake (Lindsey) Phillips; nieces and nephews, Paul (Emily) Poe, Cheryl Poe, Sage Phillips, and Luna Phillips, great nephew Leo Poe,  and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Dan L. Phillips, niece, Tegan Phillips and two angel babies.

Mr. Bredlow has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. Per his wishes there will be no visitation or services held. The family suggests memorials in honor of Denis be sent to Camp Quality Northwest Missouri.
