Charlie Wooten, 56, of Maryville, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at his home.

Charlie was born on July 15, 1969, in North Kansas City, Missouri to Melvin G. and Vada M. (Drydale) Wooten. He was a graduate of Maryville High School. He worked for the railroad for many years. Charlie loved animals and enjoyed playing poker, playing pool, fishing and especially playing video games with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his partner, Dianne Goodall, his children, Laci Wooten (Shealor Crouse), Paige Wooten (Colton Hielen), and Sidney Owens; three step-children, Carinda Irvine, Daniel Irvine and Mercedez Puckett; two grandchildren, Emmit Crouse and Roman Rinehart; five siblings, Paul Wooten, Vicki Wells, Susan Growcock, Janet Strueby, and Joan Degase and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Cissy Christian, parents, Melvin G. and Vada M. Wooten, his brother, Michael (Colleen) Wooten and sister, Sheila Wooten and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Charlie's family will gather with friends on Friday, May 15th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Price Funeral Home. Mr. Wooten will be cremated following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial gifts be made in care of Price Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
