1917-2017

Bonnie Betsy McFall Johnson, 99, Maryville, Missouri died on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Maryville Living Center, Maryville, Missouri.

Born July 4, 1917 in Smithville, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carrie (Breckenridge) McFall. She and H. Joseph Johnson were married August 11, 1939 in Liberty, MO by Dr. Baxter Waters.

She was a graduate of Smithville High School, and Northwest Missouri State Teachers College. Bonnie taught in the Maryville R-II school system, and retired after 26 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church. Missouri Retired Teachers and Chapter KP, P.E.O. all of Maryville.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Joseph Johnson (January 3, 1976); sister Medford (McFall) Hardesty, one grandson Kirby Lynn Anderson, and three sons-in-law James Anderson, Gary VanGundy and Wesley Ward.

Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline (Johnson) Anderson, Lee's Summit MO and Sheila (Johnson, VanGundy) Ward, Skidmore, MO; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Lonnie) Sherlock, Patrick (Robin Heflin) VanGundy, Terry VanGundy and Jeffery VanGundy, eight great-grand-children; sister-in-law Beverly Bird, brother-in-law Jack (Gilda) Otte and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Graveside services and burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 6th at Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville.
