Betty Loch
1921-2017

Betty Lou Loch, 96 of Maryville, Missouri was born May 23, 1921 in Maryville and died November 1, 2017, at Oak Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care.

She was the daughter of William Lawrence and Maude Shrubshall Butler and was a 1939 graduate of Maryville High School.

On July 12, 1941 Betty and Robert E. Loch Sr. were married.

Betty was a member of the Maryville First Christian Church and Rosanna Chapter of the Eastern Star.

Betty enjoyed a long and satisfying life. She and Bob enjoyed traveling, spending New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, winters in Palm Desert, California, yearly fishing trips to Canada, and summers at Lake of the Ozarks, fishing and boating.

Betty loved to knit and created beautiful afgans for all family members and some friends. She made Christmas tree skirts and Christmas stockings for family members. She was a sports enthusiast. She played tennis in high school and followed tennis the rest of her life. She enjoyed the Spoofhounds, Bearcats and MU football and basketball teams. During the winter in California she became a fan of the LA Lakers. She played golf on Tuesdays at the Maryville Country Club as well as many tournaments with her partner Em Devore, in nearby towns.

A loving mother to her sons and daughters-in-law, Betty was the perfect grandmother to her four grandchildren and six great-grandsons.

Also surviving Betty are her two sons and daughters-in-law: Bob (Millie) Loch and Bill (Jessica) Loch, all of Maryville.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents and two sisters Maxine Butler Garten and Esther Butler McMahon.

The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be sent to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2001 South Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Louis Mo 63131-3597, SSM Hospice, 2016 South Main, Maryville, MO 64468 or Charity of Donor's Choice.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
