Alicia Ann Tobin, 74 years of age, of Maryville, Missouri, passed away May 2, 2017, at home surrounded by her family and friends.
Alicia was born in Clyde, Missouri, on July 26, 1942. Her parents were James Joseph and Gertrude Mary (Schieber) Moffat. She grew up in Conception Junction, attending St. Benedict's Grade School. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1960. She then attended Caster's Beauty School in St. Joseph, Missouri, graduating in 1961. Throughout her life, she worked at Katie's Beauty Salon and Wal-Mart.
Alicia and her husband, Lawrence Joseph Tobin, were united in marriage on February 23, 1963, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maryville, Missouri. They were married for 54 years prior to her death. She was a loving wife and mother, as well as a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Edna (O'Day) Tobin; her daughter, Melissa Tobin Henggeler; her sister, Odelia Wilmes; and her brother, Cletus Moffat.
She is survived by her husband, her brothers, James Moffat, St. Louis and Lawrence (Joyce) Moffat, Conception; her sisters, Dorothy Ray, Des Moines and Irma (Mark) Wolfer; Maryville; her son, Tim Tobin; her grandchildren, Brett (Sara) Henggeler, Lane Tobin, Wyatt Tobin, Kami Tobin and Kolt Tobin; and her great-grandson Reed Henggeler.
Alicia's body has been cremated.
A Parish Rosary will be 5:30 PM Thursday, followed by visitation from 6:00-8:00 PM, both at St. Gregory's Barbarigo Catholic Church.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 5, 2017 at the church, followed by burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family would like memorials to be directed to SSM Hospice or the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation.
