Aunt Wanda was always my favorite, as a little girl when she worked at the jewelry store she was always so beautiful, so perfect she could have been on the cover of any magazine. But there was so very much more to her. A woman of great courage who time and time again as tragedy hit her she always carried her grief with tremendous grace. It has been such a divine gift for these last several years to stay with her when I would come back to visit. We could sit all day long and well into the night just visiting about anything and everything. She loved so many simple things that make you appreciate life, lightning bugs, a cool breeze, a storm cloud just over the horizon, always ready to laugh at something. I am so proud to call her mine, and I will love with every breath till the end of time. I know you're dancing Aunt Wanda!

I loved both of your parents very much. Wanda and I played together as babies and I am so sorry she is gone. Give my love to all her family.

Wanda, and Vernon, were some of my favorite people to talk with at the McIntyre gatherings when I was growing up. I admired her courage and her strength to accept life's challenges. She always had time to share her smile and was ready with her McIntyre wit in sharing her sense of humor.
