My mother-in-law Dorothy Smith was in Modern Managers club with Shirley. When Dorothy needed extra help due to her dementia, the whole group welcomed me to the meetings. Shirley always made sure that I felt comfortable. She also frequently sent cards to Dorothy which were so appreciated and always made Dorothy smile.
It made me so sad to think that this woman who so faithfully attended birthday and anniversary celebrations and funerals would not have her own family comforted at a memorial service for her.
She had a special way of ministering to others. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sympathies to the family of Shirley Laughlin. She was friendly every time we ever saw her always nice as well. It seemed like we ran into her at many of the events at NWMSU at many musical events. I know that she was very loved by family and all those who knew her.

Shirley was such a beautiful soul. Her smile & loving heart will so be missed. My family & I are so lucky to have known Shirley. She cared about all of us & how we always were. God is now the lucky one, to have her in Heaven with him. She will always be watching over our St Gregory's Catholic community. Miss you Shirley! Prayers for your family!🙏
