Marcella E. “Marcie” Haney
1926-2018

Marcella E. “Marcie” Haney, 92, of Maryville, Missouri formerly of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Maryville Living Center.

Marcie was born on October 9, 1926 in Clyde, Missouri to Lawrence and Irene (Wonderly) Wiederholt. She attended school in Conception, Missouri. Marcie was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress at the Historic Barrel Room at the Aladdin Hotel and various other Hotels in Kansas City. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kansas City, Missouri, the Altar Society and the Kansas City North Christian Women’s Club. Marcie loved her Siamese cat “Mindy” and enjoyed sending cards for anniversary and birthdays to many dear friends and family members.

She married Ernest D. “Ed” Haney, Sr. on September 12, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2000. She was also preceded by her parents, step-son, Ernest E. Haney, Jr., two sisters, Amelia Hardisty and Geraldine “Jeri” Wiederholt, three brothers, Irvin, Lawrence and Richard Wiederholt.

Survivors include her three sisters, Mary “Pat” O’Connor, Parkville, Missouri, Viola “Vi” Luke, Stanberry, Missouri, Lucille Hunt, Sideny, Iowa; three step-grandchildren, Dawn Haney Bauer, Simsbury, Connecticut, Chris E. Haney, Cleveland, Ohio and Leslie Haney Rice, Erie, Pennsylvania; two great-grandsons, Adam T. Bauer, Bristol, Connecticut and Alexander J. Bauer, Canaan, Connecticut and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass 11am Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Gregory’s Barbarigo Catholic Church under the direction of Price Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00am until 10:30am. Parish Rosary will follow the visitation at 10:30am. Inurnment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri.
