Lois was such a sweet and kind woman. We enjoyed the years we had her as a neighbor. She would always take the time to call and compliment on our Christmas lights or finished projects. She also never missed congratulating us on the birth of a child. She loved the lilac bushes at our house and the kids and I enjoyed bringing some to her and sitting and visiting with her. We sure did miss her when she moved to the assisted living and will greatly miss her now that she has gone home to be with Jesus. We are praying for you all! With love - Brett and Abbie Long and family

One Sunday after church, I could tell Lois was distraught about something, so I asked her what was wrong. She shared that she had lost her wedding ring, but was convinced it was somewhere in the house. I asked her if she would like me to help her look for it. She said yes, if it's no trouble. We walked across the street to her house and before starting to look, I prayed for the Holy Spirit to help me find her ring. I looked around a little then asked her what she had done prior to misplacing it. She told me her activities and one of them was laundry. I went into the laundry room and was led to a pile of towels on the dryer. I picked up the towels and there it was under the towels!! She was so happy as I was too. I will miss Lois, she was a wonderful friend, and servant to the Lord. I was a single mother when I went to church with Lois and talked to her often about personal things. She was a mentor to me. She often gave me encouraging words and always pointed out even the smallest praises to uplift me. Jeanine Montgomery
