Claudette Pearl Dye, 72, Elmo, Missouri died at her daughter's home Sunday, February 7, 2010.
She was born February 3, 1938 in Council Bluffs, Iowa; the daughter of the late Claude and Myrtle (Buttz) Brown. She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Dye, April 6, 1956 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Robert preceded her in death on January 4, 1986.
Others preceding her in death stillborn daughter, Kathy Jo Dye, brother, Frank Brown, sisters, Luella Costess, Wanda Brown and Judy Frieze, and one granddaughter, Ashley Dye.
She attended Council Bluffs High School and was a Certified Medical Technician, retiring from Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, Missouri.
Surviving are sons, William Dye, Wellington, KS, Randy (Tammy) Dye, Elmo, MO; daughters, Debra (Dennis) Kent, Shelly Salyer and Sadie (Doug) Leabo all of Elmo, MO; brothers, Claude Brown, Council Bluffs, IA, Floyd Brown, state of Nebraska, Kenny Brown, state of Kansas; sister, Rosetta Inman, Omaha, NE; 9 grandchildren, Tiffany, Aaron, Heather, Eain, Jeremy, Jennifer, Amanda, Alyson and Adison; 4 great-grandchildren, Bryan, Jasmine, Rose and Sedilia.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2010, with the funeral service at 2:00 PM
at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
Burial: LaMar Cemetery, Elmo, MO.

Norbert Francis Walter, 92, Conception Junction, Missouri died Friday, February 5, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri.
He was born January 4, 1918 in Lisbon, North Dakota, the son of Joseph Godfrey and Anna Julia (Bliley) Walter.
Norbert served in the US Army during WWII.
He married Anna Elizabeth Merrigan, April 11, 1950 in Conception, Missouri.
A farmer, Norbert was a member of St. Columba Parish and Charter member of The Tri C American Legion Post #464, Conception Junction, Missouri. He was a member of Widowed Persons and served on the Rural Public Water District Board.
Mr. Walter was preceded in death by his wife: Anna Lee Walter (January 8, 1984); his parents; brothers: Paul (an infant), Ben and Vincent Walter and a sister. Beatrice Dowd.
Survivors include his children: Joe and Anita Walter, Guilford, Missouri; Jane F. Walter, Conception Junction; brother: George Walter, Maryville; sister: Rosemary Andrews, Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren: Jacob Walter, Austin, Texas and Kaleb Walter, Guilford; many nieces and nephews.
A family rosary is 7:30 pm Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
Visitation will be 6-7 pm Sunday, February 7, 2010 at St Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction, Missouri with a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 am Monday, February 8th at St Columba Catholic Church, Conception Junction with burial in St Columba Cemetery, Conception.
Memorials may be made to the Tri-C American Legion Post #464 or the American Cancer Society.
Military Services will be conducted at graveside by the Tri-C American Legion Post #464, Conception Junction, Missouri.

Charles Benson Gosney

Charles Benson Gosney, 82, Maryville, Missouri, (formerly of Barnard, Missouri) died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Village Care Center, Maryville.
He was born February 17, 1927 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Raymond Hubbard and Dove Caroline (Miller) Gosney. Charles married Rose Catherine Williams in 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri. After her death he married Rose Marie Joyce April 1, 1968, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Rose Marie has also died.
Mr. Gosney was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community, Maryville and the O’Howell-Strader American Legion Post #102, Barnard, Missouri.
From 1972 to 1977 Charles owned and operated “Charlie’s Restaurant” in Barnard, Missouri. Then he worked for Montgomery Wards in Maryville, becoming an assistant manager. After it closed he was an assistant manager at the Wal Mart Store.
In addition to both of his wives, he was preceded in death by his son: Mark Gosney; his parents and a brother Raymond Gosney.
Survivors include his children: Evelyn Mayes, Campton, New Hampshire; Jeanne Baldwin, Aurora, Colorado; Jeffrey Gosney, St. Joseph, Missouri; Mary Johnson, Long Beach, California; Patrick Gosney, Ft. Walton, Florida; Caroline Alderete, Long Beach, California; Kathleen Heerdt, Aurora, Colorado and Annie Thogerson, Laveen, Arizona; step-children: Terri Joyce and John Joyce, Washington, Missouri; Debbie Sullivan, Liberty, Missouri and Cindy Clements, Barnard, Missouri; a brother: Wayne Gosney, Hartford, Kansas; twenty-two grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Nodaway County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, Maryville, Missouri or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Dallas, Texas.

Terri Ranae (Hagg) Kretzschmer, 48 of Independence, Missouri died on Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence.
Born Wednesday, April 19, 1961 in Maryville, Missouri, she was the daughter of Gary and Darlene Vance Hagg. June 10, 2000 she was united in marriage to Brian Kretzschmer in Nevada, Missouri.
She was a 1979 graduate of Nodaway Holt High School, 1984 graduate of NWMSU Practical nursing Program, and 1994 graduate of Park College where she received her Registered Nursing degree. Terri had served for 30 years in the medical profession.
Her survivors include: Husband, Brian, Independence; Parents, Gary and Darlene Hagg, Maryville; one daughter, Veronica Lee Malone, Independence; step son, Matthew Ryan Kretzschmer, and brother, David Alan Hagg, Independence.
Funeral service: 5:00 PM, February 6, Price Funeral Home, Maryville, with cremation to follow.
Visitation: 3-5 PM on Saturday, February 6, at Price Funeral Home.

Viola Marie (Wilson) Joy 92, of Kearney, (formerly of Conception Junction), Missouri passed away Monday, January 25, 2010 at Lawson Manor and Rehabilitation, Lawson, Missouri.
She was born April 11, 1917 in Conception Junction, Missouri the daughter of Chester Earl and Bertha Jane (Alsbury) Wilson. A graduate of Conception Junction High School, Viola married Ray Stanley Joy on July 6, 1935 in Maryville, Missouri.
Mrs. Joy was a member of the Northland Christian Church, North Kansas City, Missouri and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Stanley Joy, on February 14, 1998 a son: Gerald Douglas “Jerry” Joy, on June 2, 2009; a brother: Melvin Wilson and two sisters: Margaret Herndon and Alice Farnan.
Survivors include her six sons and their spouses: Gary (Sandy) Joy, Albany, Missouri; James (Patty) Joy, Rogers, Arkansas, Mark (Charlene)Joy, Jamestown, North Dakota; Ronald (Ruth) Joy, Kearney, Missouri; Richard (Sharon) Joy, Lawson, Missouri and Dwight (Judy) Joy, Flemington, Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister: Fern Moad, Albany, Missouri and daughter-in-law: Annie Joy, Santa Anna,California.
Visitation will be Noon to 1pm Friday, January 29, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri with Funeral Services at 1 pm.
Burial is in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, Missouri.

Paul Wesley Gard, 86, Savannah, Missouri, formerly of Graham, Missouri, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Hillview Nursing and Rehab, Platte City, Missouri.
He was born September 14, 1923, the son of Herbert and Pearl (West) Gard. Paul married Lela May Porter March 10, 1944, in Troy, Kansas.
A retired farmer, Mr. Gard was a member of the Savannah, Missouri First Christian Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lela (November 9, 2009); one brother, Darl Gard and a sister, Marilyn VanAusdall.
Survivors include his son Ron and wife Janice Gard, daughter Carolyn and husband Mike Wissinger, all of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren: Christina McGeorge, Omaha, Nebraska; Theresa Higgins, Orland Park, Illinois; Dana Roberts, Skidmore, Missouri; Scott Gard, Lawrence, Kansas and Brian Heflin, Braidwood, Illinois; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers: Curtis Gard, Kansas City, Dean Gard, Savannah, and Wayne Gard, Maryville, Missouri; sisters: Norma Sikes, Odessa, Texas and Rose Ann Fendlin, Madison, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 10:30-11:00 a.m. Thursday, with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. January 28, 2010, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
Inurnment will be in Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, Missouri.

Barbara Louise Sears, 75, Maryville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at St Francis Hospital, Maryville.
She was born May 2, 1934, in Maryville to Fred F and Margaret (Myers) O’Riley. She was a graduate of St Mary’s School and Maryville High School, both, Maryville.
Barbara married H Buhler Sears in Maryville on April 21, 1954. He survives of their home.
A homemaker, Barbara had worked at Nodaway Valley Bank and Retired from the City of Bolckow, Missouri where she had been the City Clerk for 18 years. In 1996 she and her husband moved back to Maryville where Barbara was a member of St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community, St Francis Hospital Auxiliary, Chapter L of the PEO Sisterhood and St Gregory’s Guild.
She was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Fred, Don and Charles O’Riley and a Sister: Norma Jean.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law: David and Terina Sears, Maryville; daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Steve Cole, Rosendale, Missouri; brothers: Ralph, W R and Pat, all of Maryville; Mike, Kansas City, Missouri; sisters: Mary Miller, St Joseph, Missouri, Melania Edwards, Cambria, California and Alice Dover, Merriam, Kansas; granddaughters: Connie Brosi, Savannah, Missouri; Cindy Ramsey, Rea, Missouri; Christina Dennis, St. Joseph, Missouri and Allison Otte, Kansas City, Missouri; 2 grandsons: John Cole, Savannah, Missouri, and Derrick Sears, Denver, Colorado. 8 great-grandsons; 6 great-granddaughters; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Legion of Mary Rosary will be 2 pm Sunday, January 24, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.
Visitation will begin at 6:30 pm at St. Gregory’s Parish Church, Maryville followed by a parish prayer service at 8 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Monday, January 25, 2010 at St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville with burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Maryville.

Alice May Oliver 98, Maryville, Missouri (formerly of Guilford, Missouri) died Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Village Care Center, Maryville.
She was born October 20, 1911 in rural Guilford, Missouri, the daughter of Carl Ralph and Orpha May (McGeorge) Weathermon. Alice married Wesley Harold Oliver June 30, 1940 in King City, Missouri.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Guilford Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Wesley Oliver (April 8, 1997); a son: Harold Eugene Oliver; her parents; two brothers: Melvin and Paul Weathermon and a sister: Georgia Manly.

Vera Louise Coffelt Trimble 87, of Maryville, Missouri died Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Garden Terrace Care Center, Overland Park, Kansas.
She was born January 17, 1923 in Ravenwood, Missouri, the daughter of Eldon and Minnie (Messner) Coffelt. Vera graduated from Ravenwood High School and she married Robert “Elmo” Trimble May 10, 1941 in Hiawatha, Kansas.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Laura Street Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School many years. Vera wrote poetry.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Elmo Trimble on October 14, 2008; her parents and brothers: Wesley, Forrest and Wayne Coffelt.
Mrs. Trimble is survived by her children: Shirly (Tom) Stovall, Dallas, Texas; Duane (Joetta) Trimble, Loveland, Colorado; Rosemary (Ciecel) Ledgerwood, Graham, Missouri; Coleen Trimble, Overland Park, Kansas; Kevin (Diane) Trimble, Kansas City, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers: Harold Coffelt, Albany, Missouri; Willard and Curtis Coffelt, Maryville; Jerry Coffelt, Ravenwood; sisters: Verda Myers, Torrance, California and Lovella Schmitz, Kirksville, Missouri; many other relatives and friends.

Viola Mae Gaskill Conz, 81, Pickering, Missouri died Saturday, January 16, 2010, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.
She was born September 9, 1928 in Rock Port, Missouri, the daughter of Arthur and Ethel (Burnsworth) Gaskill. Viola married Leonard McCombs on June 30, 1943 in Rock Port. Mr McComb died December 31, 1974. She then married Ralph Conz Jr June 1, 1975 in Pickering, Missouri.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Pickering Methodist Church, the Maryville Missouri Elks Club and Eagle’s Lodge.
In addition to her first husband Viola was preceded in death by her son: Leonard McCombs Jr; daughter: Donna Marie McCombs; parents; sisters: Margaret Kinder and Lola Gaskill and brother: Kenneth Gaskill.
Survivors include her husband: Ralph Conz; a daughter: Shirley Deen, Alcester, South Dakota; Step-sons: Donald Conz, Dodge City, Kansas; Robert Conz, Beatrice, Nebraska and Steven Conz, Maryville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers: Don Gaskill, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Jack Gaskill, San Antonio, Texas and Jim Gaskill, Ottumwa, Ioawa; sisters: Lois Trainor, Waterloo, Iowa and Isabelle Auffert, Maryville; many other relatives and friends.

Evelyn Berdena Day, age 90, formerly of Quitman and Skidmore, Missouri, died Friday, January 15, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, MO.
Berdena was born July 9, 1919 in Riverton, Nebraska; the daughter of the late William Francis and Edna Ola Willis Day.
She had been a farmer all her life and resident of Skidmore since 1980. She was a graduate of Quitman High School, class of 1938; and also a member of the Riverton Nebraska Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Elmer , Rollie G. and Henry A. Day; three sisters, Louie Elizabeth Irwin, Mamie Alverta Sherrill and an infant Mildred Day.
Berdena is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2 PM, Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Quitman Cemetery , Quitman, MO. Friends may call anytime at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

Clara Barbara Lager, 62, Maryville, Missouri, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Parkdale Manor Care Center, Maryville.
She was born March 30, 1947 in Maryville, Missouri, the daughter of Alfred and Irene (Schwebach) Lager. Clara was a 1965 graduate of Ravenwood High School, Ravenwood, Missouri and had worked in the custodial department at NWMSU. She was a member of St Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Community, Maryville.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law: Jim Jackson.
Survivors include her sister: Joan Jackson, Ravenwood; brothers: Robert (Shirley) Lager, Grant City, Missouri; Ron (Maureen)and Marvin Lager, Maryville and Kermit (Mary Ann) Lager, Conception, Missouri; many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Family Rosary at 7pm, Monday, January 11, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
