Arthur VanFosson,   Maryville, Missouri

Arthur VanFosson, 89, Maryville, Missouri, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Maryville, Missouri.

Arthur was born August 10, 1922, in Braddyville, Iowa to James Virgil and Stella Vesta Wilson VanFosson.

A graduate of Elmo High School, class of 1942, he was a station attendant with the former McGinnis/Dew Service Station, Maryville.

He married Ruth Kent VanFosson on November 02, 1946, in Troy Kansas.

He served as a Private in the US Army during the World War II and was a member of the Bradley-Carver American Legion Post #492, Elmo, Missouri.

Preceding in death were his parents, a granddaughter Tara Dew and three brothers Raymond, Marvin, and Glen VanFosson.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Marie VanFosson, son Ronnie (Renea Smyser) VanFosson, Maryville and daughter Betty (Gary) Dew, Bellevue, NE, brothers Lowell VanFosson, Maryville, MO, Lewis VanFosson, Mitchellville, IA and sister Hazel Estes, Maryville, MO; two grandsons; Jeff (Kristen) and Chad (fiance' Sara Walkenbach) VanFosson, great granddaughers; Delaney and Janie VanFosson.

Graveside Services and burial will be 2:00 PM, Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Lamar Cemetery, Elmo, Missouri.

Memorial: Bradley-Carver American Legion Post #492, Elmo, MO.
