Margaret "Peggy" Wilmes, 85 of Maryville, Missouri died on Monday, February 13, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Maryville, Missouri.
Born March 8, 1926 in Maryville, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Bea (Bagby) O'Riley.
Peggy married Donald Anthony Wilmes on August 6, 1946 in Maryville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1981.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Joseph and Patrick O'Riley and sisters Doris LaTempa and Joan Carstens.
Peggy was a graduate of Horace Mann High School and had previously been the bar manager for the James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100, Maryville.
She was a member of St Gregory's Catholic Church.
Her survivors include children, Cindy Moose, Parkville, MO, Donald (Marcia) Wilmes, Springfield, MO, Debbie Oglesby, Kathy (Steve) Conz, Patty Wermelskirchen and Lori (Bill) Baker all of Maryville, MO and Shelly Wilmes of Highland, KS, sisters Virginia Allen, Maryville, MO and Carolyn Yocum, Wheatland, MO, 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 17, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Interment: St Patrick's Cemetery, Maryville, MO.
A Parish Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM followed by the family recieving friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
Memorials: AseraCare Hospice or American Heart Association .
