Leontine Busby, 100, Maryville, Missouri died Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Parkdale Manor Care Center, Maryville. She was born on September 9, 1907 in Bethany, Missouri, the daughter of Luther and Ollie Jane (Clark) Johnson. She graduated from Bethany High School in the class of 1924 and attended Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, Maryville. On April 21, 1928 Leontine married Eugene Busby in Maryville. She had taught school, was a sales clerk in Gates and Tivoli Vogue Dress Shops and a homemaker. Mrs. Busby was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Busby on September 22, 1978; her parents, a brother: Homer Johnson and sister, Anna Lea Bray. She is survived by a son: Jack Busby, Little Rock, Arkansas; a daughter: Mary Lou Benning, Atlanta, Georgia; a sister: Janie Webb, Dallas, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation is anytime at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville, Missouri. Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, St Joseph, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Nodaway County Chapter of the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Busby's name.
