Katherine Veona (Sherrets) Woodruff, 95 of Maryville, Missouri died Friday, September 21, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St Joseph, Missouri. The daughter of William Alfred and Magnolia (Barnes) Sherrets, Katherine was born April 10, 1912 in Dover, Kansas. She was a graduate of Dover High School, Dover, Kansas. She married Clyde Willard Woodruff on June 28, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri. A homemaker, Katherine was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women in Maryville. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an expert seamstress. Preceding her death in death were her husband Clyde Woodruff on March 1, 1993; her parents; brothers: Carl Richard, George, William, Charles and Alex Sherrets; sisters: Agnes Kemble, Bertha Bundy, Dolly McCourtney and Pearl Bundy. Katherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Sarah and Keith Arnold, Maryville; two grandchildren: Michelle and her husband Larry Wickersham and Bryan Arnold, of Maryville; 1 great-grandchild Laurelle Wickersham, Maryville and a sister Violet Sebring, Twin Falls, Idaho. There is no formal visitation but friends may call anytime after 9:00AM Sunday at Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville. Funeral services are 10:30am Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at The First United Methodist Church, Maryville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri. Memorials may be made to either the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Maryville First United Methodist Church in Mrs. Woodruff's name.
